Plains Farm & Humbledon Community Initiative

Plains Farm and Humbledon Community Initiative in Sunderland is a community facility for the use of all residents of the Plains Farm, Humbledon and surrounding areas in south Sunderland. We are based in the grounds of Plains Farm Primary School (in what used to be the nursery building). With the help of over £100,000 worth of funding, the building has been beautifully refurbished and is now a Community Centre for local residents.

The centre runs activities for local people, is a venue for local community groups, runs courses and family learning opportunities for adults, as well as driving opportunities for children and young people on the estate.

Current Centre Activities:

Toddler Messy Play Session run by Sunderland Children's Centre on Monday afternoon 1.30 - 2.45

Toddler Group on Tuesday afternoon 1.00 - 3.00pm

"Cobwebs and Coffee" Memories of old Plains Farm. Every second Wednesday 10.00 - 12.00

Kidz Club on Wednesday evenings 5.30 - 7.30 ages 5 - 11 yrs, £1.00 entry fee

Coffee Morning  with Bingo  every Thursday 9.30 - 11.45

Slimming World Group on Thursday evenings 7.00 - 8.30 starting on 21 January 2010
